Ray Cockrum Relays- Return To Top

The Viking traveled to Wenatchee over a snowy and nasty Stevens Pass and found cold wet conditions even on the east side. It didn't stop the Vikings, who came away with both the Boys and Girls trophies. The highlight of the meet had to be the State Record performance of Andrea Patterson, Kelsi Kippola and Amanda Eggers in the girls Triple Jump relay. Eggers started off the day with a PR 32-6, and was followed up by a gutsy performance by an injured Kelsi Kippola who went 33-10. The table was then set for returning state placer Andrea Patterson to span 36'10" and break the record of 103' 1/2" with a total of 103'2". Other highlights included solid performances by the girls 4x1 (51.40), 4x200 (1:47.60) and a diving first place finish in the girls weight relay by anchor (no pun intended) Rachel Boehme.

The following is a list of results from the meet. They are not all inclusive as they total results were not available when we left. ENJOY!

Ray Cockrun Relays (girls): Lake Stevens set a record in the three-girl-relay triple jump, as the team of Andrea Patterson (36 feet, 10 inches), Amanda Eggers (32-6) and Kelsi Kippola (33-6) leaped a combined 103-2, shattering the old mark of 103-1/4.
