COUNSELING / GUIDANCE (335-1571)

GUIDANCE AND ACADEMIC COUNSELING SERVICES

Guidance and academic counseling services are available for every student in the school. These services include assistance with educational planning, arranging assistance in studies, and other related concerns. Discussions with counselors are confidential at the discretion of the student.

SCHEDULE CHANGES AND AUDITING

Specific times for schedule changes will be announced in advance. Schedule changes will not be allowed following the start of school except for new students, students with incomplete schedules, students who do not meet the prerequisites for the courses in which they are enrolled, and students with special circumstances.  Students will not be allowed to enroll in any course for credit following the 15th day of each semester. Any student enrolled in a course but earning no credit will be considered auditing that class. The last day to audit a class will be the 45 day of the semester. Any student auditing a class who does not maintain regular attendance will lose his/her auditing status and an "F" grade will be recorded on the transcript.

ACADEMIC NO CREDIT

In order to earn an academic “No Credit”, the students must attend the class and have good citizenship in the class in order to be eligible for an academic NC grade.  If good attendance (defined as staying under the 10 absence limit in that class) and good citizenship are not maintained in that class, then an “F” grade will be given for that class and the “F” grade will be added to the student’s transcript. Academic “No Credit” will not be permitted after the 45th day of the semester.
