Class Standings
Earned credits necessary for class standing
at the beginning of each school year:
- Grade 10 4.5
- Grade 11 10.5
- Grade 12 16.5
Seniors must have completed 22.5 credits at
the completion of the last day of final exams second semester,
in order to participate in graduation exercises.
REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION
22.5 credits are required for graduation, including the following
specified classes/areas:
English 3.5 credits
Must include:
English 9 A,B (1 credit)
English 10 A,B (1 credit)
3- 1 Semester Electives
Must include:
one literature and one writing class
Mathematics 2.0 credits
Social Studies 3.0 credits
Must include:
Washington State History & Govt. (0.5 credit)
World Geography (0.5 credit)
US History & Government 1-2 (1.0 credit)
Contemporary World Issues (0.5 credit)
Contemporary American Issues (0.5 credit)
Laboratory Science 2.0 credits
Physical Education 1.5 credits
Health 0.5 credit
Occupational Education 1.5 credits
Fine Arts 1.0 credit
Electives 7.5 credits
Additional Graduation Requirments for the Classes of 2008 and 2009

Students mus demonstrate competency in Algebra and Geometry by successfully completing those courses, passing district performance-based assessment or passing passing the Math portion of the WASL.

Students must complete .5 Occupational Education credits with a focus on technology literacy (or successfully complete a district performance-based assessment). This requirement may be met by taking Digital Design, Computer Applicatons or Drafting.

Students must successfully complete a culminating exhibition during their senior year. (Part of the Viking Experience.)

Students must complete a High School Plus Plan. (13th-year plan)

Students must pass all components of the WASL, thereby earning the Certificate of Academic Achievement.
