Students with difficulties or problems may see a counselor any time
during the school day including before and after school, as well as,
during lunch. Normally an appointment, although not required, will
be helpful in assuring counselor availability.
Services available include:
Individual Conferences
- Counselors, though responsible for specific students in grades 9-12,
will be available to all students. A student may request to see a
counselor of his/her choice.

Standardized Testing -
Tests coordinated by the Guidance Office include the PSAT/NMSQT (scholarship
competition), SAT (nationwide college admission), ACT (nationwide
college admission). Complete interpretation is provided for all tests.

Career Counseling -
One counselor is a career specialist and provides materials and information
regarding business schools, vocational-technical schools and selection
of occupation/career following graduation. This counselor is also
responsible for Skill Center information.

Information concerning financial aid for schooling following high
school graduation is available from the designated counselor.

Specific admissions information regarding most colleges and universities
is available in the Guidance Office. Applications for colleges and
universities in the State of Washington are provided upon request.

Substance Abuse Counseling –
The high school has a part time Intervention Specialist and provides
counseling to those students who feel they have need for support therapy.
Outside referrals are made when necessary.
