To be enrolled as a Sophomore, a student must have successfullt completed the nineth grade or be granted admission by the building administrator based on extenuating circumstances. The following defines class standings:

4.5 credits needed to enter 10th grade
7.5 credits needed to enter 10th grade, 2nd semester
10.5 credits needed to enter 11th grade
13.5 credits needed to enter 11th grade, 2nd semester
16.5 credits needed to enter 12th grade
19.5 credits needed to enter 12th grade, 2nd semester
22.5 credits needed to graduate and participate in the ceremony

Graduation Requirements:

  • English - 3.5 credits including English 9, and English 10;
  • Mathematics - 2 credits;
  • Science - 2 credits;
  • Social Studies - 3 credits including Global Studies, U.S. History 1-2, Contemporary American Issues, and Contemporary World Issues;
  • Physical Education - 1.5 credits;
  • Health - .5 credit;
  • Occupational - 1.5 credits;
  • Fine Arts - 1 credit;
  • General Electives - 7.5 credits.

Viking Experience requirements:

  • 15 hours of community service each year for 60 total hours
  • 13th year plan- updated each semester
  • VIP paper- due in the Junior year
