Conflict Mediators

New Mentors Wanted for 2007-2008:

There are many benefits to a mediation which include:Promotion of positive school environtment, prevention of getting in trouble with school authorities, promotion of self worth, and allowing you to confront a difficult situation in a constructive way.

Is it confidential?A general definition of exceptions are: harm to self, harm to others or others harming you. Otherwise every part of the mediation is kept confidential.

Will I get in trouble for having a conflict?Every situation is unique, but generally, "No" you won't get in trouble. It is considered proactive when you take a positive step to resolve conflicts peacefully.

What conflicts do Conflict Mediators most commonly handle?Rumors, potential fights, relationship issues, misunderstandings between friends harassment, theft, etc.
