Highland will once again be participating in the "Hit A Home-Run" Summer Reading Contest. If you "hit" at least one home run during the contest, you will receive a prize from our PTA. You will also be entered into a drawing to go to a Seattle Mariner's game on Friday, September 26th against the visiting Los Angeles Angels! If you have time, think about dropping off your kiddo on the first day of school and joining other parents and our PTA for a bit out in the front of Highland. The Surf Shack Espresso Co. will be out there serving up coffee drinks! Join the PTA that morning and your drink is free! Hope you can make it!

Please mark this date on your calendars! We will kick-off our 2014-15 Curriculum Night with a short presentation by our own students and parents of Highland in the gym to empower our families on how to utilize the 7 Habits and the Leader in Me to best support your kids at home to be leaders of themselves and their responsibilities. Then, our first classroom session will be from 6:00-6:25, with our 2nd classroom session going from 6:30-6:55. The classroom sessions will provide you an overview of what your child will be learning about this school year, and what that will look like. Looking forward to seeing everyone here at this very important evening!
